BBC CELLPACK Packaging, a major player in Europe’s flexible packaging market, acquires ABS Packmittel GmbH, a German company specialising in the production of cushion pads and embossed papers. BBC CELLPACK Packaging is extending its business in this product sector and becomes, through this acquisition, the number one on the European market. This acquisition paves the way for new business opportunities and enhanced expertise. 

Founded in 1987, ABS Packmittel GmbH operates across Europe and internationally in the field of cushion pads and embossed papers. Located in Germany’s Frankfurt area, the company currently employs 31 people. BBC CELLPACK Packaging is retaining all ABS Packmittel GmbH staff currently in place.  ABS Packmittel GmbH is active in the confectionery, biscuit, chocolate, tobacco, electronics, automotive and pharmaceutical markets.

"ABS Packmittel GmbH will be our new centre of excellence for cushion pads and embossed papers and will become BBC CELLPACK PACKAGING Langgöns GmbH”.

An acquisition that fits in with the new strategy of BBC CELLPACK Packaging. A strategy that is supported by a new organisation by refocusing the business areas of each of the production sites. Producing environmentally friendly packaging and playing an active role in the circular flexible packaging economy are also the objectives supported by this new organisational model.
